Virginia Safari Park

The Virginia Safari Park, located in nearby Natural Bridge VA, is great fun (yes, for adults only as well). The main attraction is a self-driven tour of the 10-acre property where you purchase feed buckets (pellet food) and feed the broad range of animals while you drive through (e.g. moose, a variety of deer, antelopes, goat, sheep, Rheas / large Ostrich like birds, Buffalos, etc.) and (tip: the name-of-the-game is ‘who can keep their bucket the longest’ – you’ll find quickly that everyone in your vehicle laughing out loud as a large Buffalo head sticks in your window and decides it wants the entire bucket. (tip: once you go a few times you learn which animals are the greediest!)
