Virginia Horse Center

The Virginia Horse Center includes a 600-acre facility consisting of nine show rings, eight schooling rings, a 4,000 seat coliseum, eight barns, a cross country course, tractor pull, campgrounds, special event spaces, and food service at specified events. The VHCF offers a safe, diverse, and exciting facility for your event. The facility hosts more than 100 events annually, ranging from barrel races, bull riding, dressage shows, hunter/jumper competitions, and much more. (tip: we like to just visit with friends or family during one of our trips near or past Lexington – it’s fun just to walk the grounds and see all the horses and meet their friendly owners, trainers, and riders. The vast majority of horse shows are free!). It’s an incredibly large facility so take your time and even break up the experience into multiple visits.
